Containers for Change

A recent Newport article featured a local “Bike Lady” who collects 10 cent refundable items and donates half of the cash she makes to KIND. Read the article here.

You can help KIND in a similar way. How? KIND is now registered with Containers for Change so that you can use KIND’s ID to directly donate funds from refundable items into KIND’s bank account. Simply use KIND’s scheme ID below.

KIND appreciates your assistance with our fundraising efforts! Thank you.

Win $10,000 – Cash 4 KIND Raffle

The KIND Committee has decided its time to conduct our first fundraising venture for 2021. Sadly this pandemic has caused many charities to have to stop any fundraising activities and we are no exception. Of course our commitment to our families continues and we have seen a number of new families join us in 2021.We have decided to run another Cash 4 KIND (COVID-19 style) in social isolation. This year we are selling 200 tickets at $100 each with the prize for 1 winner being $10,000 and KIND receiving $10,000. If you would like a ticket the details are on the flyer attached – call Dani or Ann-Marie or email info@kind.org.au and let us know what number you prefer. Get in quick to secure your favourite number from 1 to 200.

The money needs to be deposited into KIND’s Bendigo Bank Account – BSB 633000, A/c 136688777 with your surname and confirmed number. Please make sure you contact us first to check available numbers. As soon as all 200 numbers are sold (we will keep you posted regularly on our Facebook page) we will conduct a live draw with an independent person to pull out the lucky number. You can get a group together and share the cost and the prize. Got to be in it to win it. Stay safe and well. Don’t forget if you know of any child needing our support please get in contact.

We thank our very generous community and regular donors for their ongoing support through this difficult year.

New KIND Website

Today we launched our new website. While still not 100% complete, most of the important content is in place. Some fine-tuning will be occurring in the next few weeks.

Our new site is now responsive so that it displays content based on the available browser window, be it a smartphone, tablet or desktop browser.

Thank you to Marco for putting this together and for ongoing support.

We hope you like the site. Any issues, please let us know.

Jungle Ride 2019

Once again in 2019 we staged the Jungle Ride for KIND.

This event was held on 12 October 2019 and around 230 bike riders joined in on the spectacular ride from Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation (and return for the very keen!!).

KIND is the major charity staging the ride which raises a significant amount to help our local families.

The Committee of KIND would like to thank everyone who helped us get this ride on the road 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️ – volunteers, riders, sponsors thank you for always supporting the children of the Douglas Shire who need you 💕💕💕💕. #jungleride2019 Kind – kids in need donations
